Queen Ntokozo Mayisela was born in 1985 in Pinetown, Durban in the province of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. Her ancestral home is in the coal mining town of Newcastle. She was raised in Sgodipholi (meaning a serene place) in Newcastle.

The occupation of Queen Ntokozo Mayisela
As a jazz music student and philanthropist, Queen Ntokozo Mayisela utilizes her foundation to aid those in need. On July 25, 2021, she and her husband launched their first community support initiative at the KwaKhangela-mankengane Royal Palace in Nongoma, KZN.
In response to King Misuzulu’s declaration that he wanted to end the country’s hunger, Mayisela-Zulu established the Kamaskolo Foundation. In 2021, while KZN was under lockdown and looting, they distributed food parcels to needy Nongoma residents through her organization.
Marriage to king Misuzulu Zulu
Misuzulu Zulu allegedly wed Ntokozo Mayisela on May 6, 2021, one day before his mother, Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu, was “placed” (buried). Legal records obtained by Independent Media from the Department of Home Affairs reveal that Misuzulu Zulu wed his longtime love, Mayisela, in a civil union.
Mayisela and Misuzulu first crossed paths in August 2009 at Princess Bukhosibemvelo and former Transnet CEO Sipho Nyawo’s royal wedding in the Durban Botanical Gardens. Misuzulu sent a royal delegation to pay lobola for Ntokozo Mayisela on May 13, 2021. The Mayisela family sought R50,000 in cash and eight cows.
In April 2022 the family of Queen Ntokozo Mayisela presented her to the family of king Zulu in a traditional zulu ceremony. The ceremony was imperative and preliminary before the coronation of the zulu king which would take place in 2022. [ ²]
